A perfect day
Sarah and I dropped the boys off at their (wonderful) Gramps and we headed into the Beacons to climb Corn Du in the snow. Fabulous weather, fabulous snow and first class entertainment thanks to the big yellow helicopter that was on exercise.
We did the hike in trail shoes (I had some scree gaiters to keep out the snow). I don’t think I’ll be wearing my Scarpa’s again in a hurry :)
Java break before the summit.
These icicles were 20 feet plus.
“Just the two of us…”
Never needed the SARF, but it’s nice to know they are there.
In a rush to get a pint in the Penycae Inn.

Cracking photos. Glad you both had a good day out in the snow.
Chris - I took the kids just past the Storey Arms to have a play in the snow and said to my wife: "look at them mad buggers climbing the mountains". You were one of them (well over a bit from where I was) but it looks fantastic!
Awesome photos as usual, Chris.
Keep up the good work. :)
Thanks everyone - it was a great day and the photos really don't do it justice :)
Fantastic photos Chris, the Beacons are fabulous in snow (last time we saw them like that was 1996).
You must be a braver driver than me to tackle the roads in that weather!.
