I know nothing at all, but why not join Song of the Paddle forum www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/ Nice folks and they will tell you everything you need to know.

Brilliant idea - I didn't think of that. The guys'n'gals over there were very helpful when I was buying by Lavvu.
I'm trying to get the other half interested in canoeing! No luck so far though, what kinda canoe is the one in the picture and do you know where to get one?

Hi Paul,
It's a 'Canadian' canoe, or an 'open' canoe. Ebay or Google it - look for brand like Mad River or Coleman and apparently you can get them dead cheap in a shop called Costco if you have a branch near you?
